My Services

01.

Individual therapy is a collaborative process focused on understanding and reshaping the patterns that shape your life.

Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences have been conditioned over time. From a THC perspective, these patterns are not flaws—they are learned adaptations. From there, we move into AHC: actively retraining how you relate to your internal experience and the world around you.

This work focuses on building:

  • emotional regulation

  • self-understanding

  • psychological flexibility

  • intentional, values-aligned action

The goal is not to eliminate discomfort, but to help you respond to it differently—so you can live a more meaningful, connected, and authentic life.

02.

Relationships can be deeply fulfilling—and deeply challenging.

In couples therapy, we move beyond surface-level conflict to understand the patterns each person brings into the relationship. These patterns are shaped by attachment, past experiences, and protective strategies that often show up as miscommunication, reactivity, or disconnection.

Our work focuses on:

  • increasing awareness of relational patterns

  • improving communication and emotional attunement

  • reducing reactivity and defensive cycles

  • fostering accountability and intentional connection

The goal is not perfection, but a relationship that is more aware, responsive, and aligned with what matters to both of you.

03.

Behaviors—whether substance use or other compulsive patterns—often develop as ways of managing internal discomfort.

From a THC perspective, these behaviors are not random or self-destructive at their core—they are protective. They serve a purpose, often helping you cope with pain, overwhelm, or unresolved experiences.

At the same time, over time, they can create additional suffering.

This work focuses on:

  • understanding the function and origin of these behaviors

  • developing new ways to relate to discomfort

  • building regulation and distress tolerance

  • creating sustainable, values-aligned change

The goal is not simply stopping a behavior—it is transforming the relationship you have with yourself so that the behavior is no longer needed in the same way.

Paying for Treatment

Insurance & Private Pay

Therapy services are almost always covered by medical insurance. Simply contact your insurance company and request benefit information to verify your coverage. Services are occasionally paid out-of-pocket directly by patients to providers as well. Payment are due at the time of service and e-payment options are available.

If you’d like to work with me at a reduced rate, please reach out to me through Open Path. This nonprofit serves those who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits. These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $100-275 a session). Open Path helps it’s members access their choice of affordable mental health care.
