Exploration, etc.

For exploring where you are & where you want to be

Instructions:
Take some time between now and our next session to gently reflect on the questions below. There is no need to write anything down unless you want to. This is simply an exercise in noticing what comes up—thoughts, feelings, reactions, or even resistance. We will explore whatever stands out together.

Part 1: Imagining a More Meaningful Life

What does a rich, full, and meaningful life look like to you?
If you woke up tomorrow morning and, without you knowing how, something had quietly shifted—some of the weight you’ve been carrying was lifted, your mind a little clearer, your body a little lighter:

• What would be the first small sign that something was different?
• What would you notice about how you move through your morning?
• How would you treat yourself?
• What would feel less urgent, less heavy, or less controlling?
• What would you find yourself naturally drawn toward?
• As the day unfolded, what would you be doing more of—not because you have to, but because it feels aligned or meaningful?
• Who would you be in that version of your life?
• What would that version of you already understand that you’re still learning now?
Part 2: Understanding What’s Getting in the Way

What are the problems or main issues that bring you into therapy, and how do they affect you?

• In what ways do these challenges show up in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, or relationships?
• How do they interfere with the kind of life you want to live?
• What do they make harder than it needs to be?
• What do they keep you from doing, expressing, or becoming?
• What do they cost you—internally (peace, confidence, clarity) and externally (connection, opportunities, consistency)?
• If nothing changed, what would staying on this path continue to take from you over time?
Closing Note

You don’t need perfect answers—just awareness.
Even noticing what’s hard to think about or what you avoid or what you spend more time on is meaningful and useful.

We’ll take whatever comes up and work with it together.
